Without their tireless efforts and determination, we would be in the situation that Mark Twain, another Lake Tahoe supporter, described when he remarked about the weather more than 100 years ago — “We all grumble about the weather, but nothing is done about it.” When we have a group as committed and experienced as Alpengroup who is willing to step forward and do something about it, how can anyone thwart their efforts?
